Web Client - Call Settings

On the Web Client you can pick how calling works. There are three options: Desk Phone, Browser, Smartphone. 

• Desk Phone - This option will use your desk phone for calls. Then means if you answer a call using the Web Client, the call will be on your desk phone. If you call someone from the Web Client, your desk phone will be used to make the call. 
• Browser - This option will use your web browser for calls. Then means if you answer a call using the Web Client, the call will be using your computer web browser (Google Chrome). If you call someone from the Web Client, your computer web browser will be used to make the call. 
• Smartphone - This option will use the 3CX app on your cell phone for calls. Then means if you answer a call using the Web Client, the call will be on the 3CX app on your cell phone. If you call someone from the Web Client, the 3CX app on your phone will be used to make the call. 
  • This option is only available if you have downloaded and setup the 3CX app on your cell phone.

To switch between one of the 3 options on the web client, please follow the below steps. 

• Log into the 3CX phone system under the ISD 745 Bookmarks. 
• Click on the phone icon on the top right. 
• Under the Enter Name or Number click on the drop down icon. 
• Click the box for the option you would like to use.
